The Garmin Nuvi 775T has a lot of great features including life time traffic and lane assist. You won’t have to worry anymore about what lane you need to get in or paying for a traffic subscription like with other GPS models, because that is included with the cost of the Garmin Nuvi 775T.
The Lane Assist feature tells you what lane you need to be in for the next turn, ramp, and exit. This is really great because I know I get annoyed when I guessed the wrong lane I need to be in and I get stuck trying to get over in traffic…or I just miss the turn.
Do you hate traffic and want to avoid pileups? That is easy with the Garmin Nuvi 775T. Each Garmin Nuvi 775T comes with a FM Traffic Receiver and you don’t have to pay to subscribe to a service to get traffic updates on your GPS because the initial cost of the Garmin Nuvi 775T takes care of it! I really am glad that Garmin decided to implement this because I really don’t like buying a GPS and then having to pay extra to use the features…To steer clear from traffic, you just need to view traffic details and you will know if you are coming along to a heavy traffic spot. That way you can detour your path to your destination to avoid the traffic.
The Garmin Nuvi 775T is easy to use right out of the box. The opening screen greets you with two questions, “Where To?” and “View Map”. If you want to find a destination, map an address, or find some places nearby, you want to press “Where To?”. If you just want a map open while you are driving a map, press “View Map”. If you use the “Where To?” function, there are over 6 million Points of Interest (POIs) installed to choose from or you can look up an address. Or, if you want to, you can make your own custom POIs by uploading them to your GPS! Cool! The maps to the destination are specially detailed City Navigator® NT street maps that will lead you to your destination. If you don’t want to look at the maps, the Garmin Nuvi 775T will speak to you which direction to turn and the name of the street to turn on. so that you never have to look at your GPS!
When you are on the road, if you ever have any problem with your car or any other type of trouble, all you have to do is press the “Where Am I?” feature and it will tell you where the nearest, hospitals, police stations, and fuel stations. It will also give you your exact latitude and longitude coordinates along with the closes address and intersection - just in case you have to tell someone where to find you. The “Where Am I?” feature can also be used when you park your car in the parking lot. Basically when you park your car, the Garmin Nuvi 775T remembers the location so when you walk around all day and forget where you parked, it will lead you where you want to go! This is so incredibly helpful in new cities and theme park areas or the grocery store…
If you are going on a trip or running errands and want to map out multiple locations so that you can use them later or to find the shortest distance to travel, the Garmin Nuvi 775T has a route planning feature that will save up to ten destinations and sort the destinations for you so that you can drive the shortest distance (and spend the least amount of time driving) to reach all of the destinations. What is also great about this feature is that it will also save you gas which saves you money and decreases your carbon footprint. Not bad.
The Garming Nuvi 775T can be used for a lot more than just a global destination device. The Garmin Nuvi 775T has an MP3 player, audio book player (subscription to Audible.com required), world travel clock, automatic time zone transition, currency converter, unit converter, calculator, a picture viewer, and more! You can even listen to the MP3 player and the audio book player through your car speakers!
Cons of the Garmin Nuvi 775T
If you want to use the audio book player, you have to pay to have a subscription to Audible.com (about $14.95 a month) and I never like it when you have to pay extra to use a feature. This GPS does not have Bluetooth technology on it which is kind of annoying since a lot of other GPS models in this price range do have Bluetooth, which means you can talk on your phone through your GPS. Plus the FM Transmitter is not super sensitive so it sometimes misses the traffic…which is really annoying.
Pros of the Garmin Nuvi 775T
The Gamin Nuvi 775T has HotFix technology that makes finding your destination A LOT faster which is really nice. I hate slow GPS models. What is the point if you have to wait ten minutes for it to figure out where to go? The traffic feature is free, yay! So when it works, that is really nice. The Lane Assist is also a really sweet fixture to have when navigating around.
The Garmin Nuvi 775T has great navigation and a lot of extra features on it. What do you think? Leave a Comment!
